- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 5,6 basil leaves
- 1/2 cup desi ghee
- For topping
- Fried onions
- Julien ginger
- Green chillies
- Fresh coriander
Instructions to make to make Tarka/tadka daal 🇮🇳🇵🇰
- Wash and soak both lentils for 30 minutes
- In wok add oil add chopped onion
- When onion becomes transulant add ginger garlic paste and green chillies fry them till becomes light golden
- Add salt coriander powder turmeric powder
- Red chilli powder fenugreek leaves black seeds mix and cook for 5 minutes
- Then add tomatoes and make good Masala
- Add lentils and mix
- Cook for 5,10 minutes add 3,4 glass of water and cook until it becomes thick and lentil tender
- Take it out in bowl put fried onions ginger green chillies and fresh coriander on it
- Heat desi ghee in pan you can also use oil
- Put garlic cloves I used desi garlic,put chillies cumin seeds basil leaves and red chilli powder
- Fry it for 30 seconds,
- Pour this tarka on daal
