- Grate lauki and grind onions with ginger-garlic paste. Add besan along with dry masala n salt to taste. Mix it well n then add water as required. Make a batter as we do for pakoras.
- Heat oil in kadai n fry koftas. Mash 2 pakoras in a mixing bowl to make the gravy thik.
- Now remove extra oil n keep 1 tbsp oil in d same kadai n add jeera n hing. When it splutters add onion paste n stir it. Add dry masalas n saute well n add water when oil releases.
- Add koftas when the gravy comes to boil. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Now lauki kofta is ready so add garam masala n garnish it with fresh Coriander leaves chopped.
- To make it more rich you can add fresh cream. We used to top it with chill dahi while serving. You can enjoy lauki koftas with roti n rice.
